Responsibilities
- Perform and/or oversee month-end close procedures.
- Produce complete monthly financial statements accurately and on time.
- Maintain compliance under GAAP.
- Perform reconciliations of financial accounts.
- Maintain fixed assets depreciation.
- Plan and oversee inventory counts and analyze results.
- Assist in budgeting processes.
- Prepare special reports for Executives and the Board of Directors.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Analyze company expenditures and cash flow.
- Supervise junior accountants and other finance staff, providing guidance and support.
- Lead or participate in ad hoc financial projects such as system implementation or process improvements.
- Provide financial analysis for strategic initiatives, such as expansion into new markets or product lines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required).
- CPA license or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam (highly preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Some experience in a public accounting setting (highly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience across a broad range of accounting functions such as cash management, receivables, payables, purchasing, and expense reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
