Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Support and actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Aid in revenue and project accrual reviews to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support the preparation of monthly reporting packages and financial analysis.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash application activities.
• Support intercompany accounting and reconciliation processes across multiple entities.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls.
• Aid in maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
• Serve as a point of contact for project accounting activities.
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure project financial data is accurate and complete.
• Monitor project-related accruals and support forecasting activities.
• Support Workday ERP implementation activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT), process documentation, data validation and reconciliation, and training and change management support.
• Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, and standardize accounting processes.
• Aid in developing scalable procedures and controls to support continued business growth.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations for audit reviews.
• Support compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience supporting month-end close processes and account reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
