SENIOR ACCOUNTANT Surface Preparation Technologies (SPT) is a leader in highway safety with offices in PA and TX. SPT is the nation's largest rumble strip contractor, combating drift-off and head-on highway crashes. Its sister companies provide other highway safety services including line striping, traffic control, and permanent signage. This position works out of the corporate office in New Kingstown, PA and reports to the Controller. Key Responsibilities Prepare weekly financial snapshot for managementAssist in cash forecasting and reconciliationsAssist in credit card administration and integration with accounting softwarePrepare month-end close entries and reconcile balance sheet accountsMaintain fixed assetsMaintain construction in process accountsMaintain inventory and perform monthly cycle countsPrepare various tax filings & registrationsOwn the lifecycle of larger projectsProvide support in the external audit processAssist in strengthening internal controlsAssist in creating efficiencies in processes and proceduresProvide excellent customer service to internal customers (i.e.- operations and other support departments)Other analyses as necessaryVarious other tasks as assigned Qualifications/Preferred Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, public accounting preferredExcel proficiency requiredMust be self-motivated and eager to learnMust have a high level of attention to detail and strong analytical skills; ability to problem solve will be criticalMust be a team player, willing to pitch in and take on any task assignedMust be someone who wants to improve current processes and make them more efficient If you are someone who has strong communication and organizational skills and you enjoy helping others problem solve, we want you to apply!
