We are recognized for exceptional craftsmanship, outstanding customer service, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of homeowners. Recognized as a Top Place to Work in the nation, our people-first approach fosters a supportive culture that drives excellence and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own the month-end close process: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules on a consistent close calendar.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Analyze monthly P&L results against budget and prior periods; identify spend or trends that are out of the ordinary and proactively alert senior management to potential issues.
  • Data Integrity & Cross-Department Collaboration:
    • Partner with Operations, Sales, Purchasing, and other departments to validate transactions and resolve discrepancies that affect the P&L.
    • Own day-to-day Acumatica data integrity: review postings and coding, correct errors at the source, and maintain consistent use of the chart of accounts.
    • Act as a go-to accounting resource for other departments on coding questions, documentation, and process compliance.
  • Inventory Monitoring:
    • Monitor inventory transactions, reconciliations, and valuation in Acumatica; investigate and resolve variances between physical counts and system records.
    • Partner with warehouse and operations teams on inventory allocations, adjustments, and month-end cutoff.
  • Bad Debt & Collections:
    • Own the bad debt collections process, including AR aging review, customer follow-up, and escalation.
    • Calculate and maintain the bad debt reserve; prepare regular AR aging and bad debt reports for management.
  • Sister Company Support:
    • Assist with bookkeeping and month-end close activities for Collective Way and Cerulean Blue, applying consistent accounting policies across all entities.
    • Process improvement: identify and implement improvements to close timelines, reporting templates, and internal controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience.
  • ERP/accounting software experience is helpful but not required. Experience with Acumatica specifically is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate and reconcile large datasets.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and/or AR collections a plus.
  • Multi-entity or multi-company accounting experience a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the judgment to flag issues before they escalate.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy; comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to drive change while maintaining operational stability.

Working Conditions

  • Office setting with frequent coordination across departments and vendors
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, often with tight deadlines
  • The role involves sitting, typing, and viewing a computer screen for extended periods
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members across multiple departments, both in person and through digital channels
  • May require occasional evenings or weekends as needed
