About the role
This is a CONTRACT POSITION. Your employment will be held by a third-party company of ENGIE’s choosing. Any offered contract role will not constitute an offer for nor guarantee of future employment with ENGIE.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for assigned partnership entities
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, intercompany transactions, and eliminations
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate/resolve variances
- Support preparation of GAAP/IFRS financial statements and reporting packages
- Support accounting for partnership structures, including allocations, distributions, and capital activity
- Track project-level costs, capitalization, and operating results
- Audit & Compliance: Prepare audit schedules and serve as a key contact for external auditors
- Support year-end audits and respond to audit inquiries on assigned entities
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
- Support consolidation processes and elimination entries
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
- Contribute to ongoing transformation initiatives
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Asset Management teams
- Support cash forecasting and project-level analysis
- Participate in recurring project review and close meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Actively pursuing CPA or Chartered Accountant (ACCA/CA) qualification
- 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong foundation in general ledger and financial reporting
- Experience supporting external audits
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (SAP or similar ERP)
- Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or project-based industries
- Exposure to partnership accounting or complex entity structures
- Experience with multi-entity environments and consolidations
- Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
