About the role
The Duravent Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This Senior level role is responsible for performing complex financial analysis, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- General Ledger & Account Reconciliation: Perform advanced reconciliations of accounts to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies. Work closely with plant controllers on inventory provisions and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Process owner for Intercompany Transactions: Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and ensure proper elimination entries for consolidated financial statements. Ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies and international accounting standards, if applicable.
- Month-End & Year-End Close: Process journal entries, accruals, and financial adjustments.
- Variance Analysis: Provide financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist with internal controls, and internal and external audit requests.
- Process Improvement: Identify improvements to accounting procedures and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration & Support: Provide technical accounting guidance to junior accountants and work closely with other departments to support financial decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP, in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience with financial reporting and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and provide guidance to other accountants.
