Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation, ensuring audit-readiness throughout the year
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Prepare quarterly financial statements and support peer review processes to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Mentor and provide guidance to staff accountants, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes
Requirements
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in particular)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and take on tasks as needed to support broader team goals
- Intellectual curiosity and sharp critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex problems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Three to five years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
- CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
