Work Experience Requirements
- Record all month-end journal entries for financial accuracy and reporting which include but are not limited to: Accounts Receivable Entry, Accounts Payable Accrual, Depreciation Entry, Prepaid Expense Entry, Pharmacy COGS and Revenue Entry, Sales Tax Accrual, Grant Revenue Allocation, Admin/Warehouse Allocation, Payroll Accrual/PTO Accrual.
- Assist Controller with the annual independent audit process; assigns and supervises preparation of all schedules required for the audit.
- Manage annual cost report audit process; assigns and supervises preparation of all documentation/data required for the audit.
- Prepare and provide accurate and timely financial statements to review financials with Controller and CFO.
- Ensures compliance with GAAP and FQHC specific accounting regulations.
- Prepares a variety of periodic and occasional reports and statements to be used by the Chief Financial Officer in planning and forecasting activities.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Aids Controller and CFO in preparation and monitoring of annual operating budget.
- Maintains cash status reports.
- Aids accounts payable associate with invoice coding.
- Review all vendor checks for accuracy prior to submitting payments for signature.
- Spearhead annual inventory process with pharmacies.
- May be needed to record grant drawdowns and prepare grant schedule as back-up.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related degree.
- At least three years of experience in business and/or finance operations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
