About the Role
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in the monthly financial close and consolidation process for DASCO and its subsidiaries. Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual contributor will manage day-to-day accounting operations, lead process improvement initiatives, and collaborate closely with cross-functional business partners.
Responsibilities
- Financial Close & Consolidation: Assist in the accurate, timely monthly close and consolidation of DASCO and related entities.
- General Ledger Integrity: Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and cost allocations.
- Tax Compliance & Filing: Prepare and file local, state, and federal tax returns, including sales, use, and corporate tax schedules.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Generate ad hoc financial reports to support strategic decision-making by leadership.
- Process Optimization: Proactively identify accounting inefficiencies and design solutions to streamline operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively across departments to resolve financial inquiries and support broader business initiatives.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of accounting experience applying US GAAP.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA eligibility is a plus.
Skills

- Excel Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data manipulation).

- Communication: Verbal and written communication skills with the comfort to present data to diverse stakeholders.
