Senior Accountant

Location: Bee Cave, TX

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Schedule

Hybrid – Tuesday through Thursday onsite; Monday & Friday remote.

Compensation

Target compensation is approximately $100,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Support month‑end and year‑end close, including financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, including accruals, amortization, depreciation, and other adjusting entries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, research discrepancies, and resolve reconciling items.
• Partner with leadership to support external audits and internal controls.
• Assist with annual budgeting and budget‑to‑actual variance analysis.
• Support financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and analysis to support business decisions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with teams throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience within public accounting and/or a publicly traded company strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Strong financial analysis and problem‑solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with SAP or another large ERP system is a plus.
• CPA preferred, but not required.
• Utility, energy, or federally regulated industry accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and levels of management.
