About Us Our partner is a closely held boutique investment bank, supporting investors, developers, and strategics in their industry verticals through capital raising, project finance, and M&A advisory, with approximately 50 employees and EBIT of $50m+. As they continue to scale, they are seeking a Senior Accountant, with a primary focus on accounts payable/ expense system operations, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Position Overview The Senior Accountant will take ownership of the accounts payable function — invoice processing, vendor management, and payment execution — while supporting broader accounting operations — accounts receivable, expense platform operations, general ledger administration — and using AI-assisted accounting tools (e.g., Claude), with room to take on more of that scope over time. This is a strong opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented professional to grow into an expanded accounting role as the finance function matures. We are looking for someone who values accuracy, consistency, and ownership within a professional investment banking environment. Key Responsibilities Own the full accounts payable cycle: invoice intake, coding, approval routing, and timely, accurate vendor payments.Maintain vendor records and payment terms; resolve vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies.Manage expense coding and employee reimbursement processing.Track deal-related accruals and billable expenses in coordination with the investment banking team.Support general ledger entries and month-end close tasks, including account reconciliations.Assist with ADP payroll and benefits administration.Assist with audit preparation, as needed. Qualifications Must be located in the Tampa Bay area.Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2+ years of accounting experience.High proficiency in Excel; experience with QuickBooks, A/P, expense systems, and AI tools a plus.Detail-oriented with exceptional communication skills, a proactive mindset and an ownership mentality. Job Type Full-time, primarily in-office Compensation $90,000 base salary, plus discretionary bonus.
