Senior Accountant

About the role

This is a direct-hire position with Spencer Business Solutions—not a contract, temporary, or consulting assignment. Qualified candidates selected through our process will be considered for direct employment with Spencer Business Solutions.

Responsibilities

- Help business owners navigate tax and financial complexity. - Provide tax compliance, planning, and accounting support for small business clients. - Work closely with clients to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. - Assist in preparing and reviewing tax returns and financial statements. - Conduct tax research and provide strategic advice to clients. - Manage client relationships and build strong working partnerships.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and an active CPA license required. - Minimum of 5+ years of experience, including a minimum of 1 year of public accounting. - Strong knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting. - Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software required; QuickBooks and Sage preferred.
