Responsibilities
- Review and analyze revenue contracts in Campfire to ensure proper treatment and documentation
- Advise on and apply revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) across the business
- Record revenue entries and maintain accuracy of the revenue ledger
- Book cost of goods sold (COGS) in alignment with recognized revenue
- Review T&E entries prepared by the accounting associate, ensuring policy compliance
- Manage the external audit process - PBC lists, coordinate auditor requests, and serve as primary point of contact
- Support internal controls documentation and testing
- Identify and implement operational workflow improvements across the accounting function
- Help build and document scalable accounting processes as the company grows
- CloudZero super-user and provide Finance-oriented feedback to Product and GTM teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on various responsibilities
- Comfortable learning and working in new technology platforms (we use Campfire, Ramp, and other modern tools)
- Experience with revenue accounting, technical accounting, or audit (plus CPA preferred)
