Senior Accountant
Job Responsibilities
- Aid in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, particularly ASC 606.
- Perform analysis of general ledger activity, including account reconciliations.
- Maintain financial records for subsidiary companies by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile foreign stand-alone financials under local accounting standards to US GAAP.
- Provide financial status information through the preparation of special reports and completion of special projects.
- Review department and GL account coding of transactions for appropriateness.
- Perform bank reconciliations, including those for foreign subsidiaries.
- Propose and prepare standard recurring and non-recurring journal entries, including adjusting entries.
- Contribute to variance analysis reviews of financial statement transactions as part of the period end close process.
- Prepare audit schedules with the GL team to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit for both US and foreign entities.
- Collaborate with the GL team to document and maintain the Company’s global accounting policies.
- Communicate effectively with several internal departments and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business evolves.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in accounting or auditing.
- Knowledge of US GAAP.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Exceptional organizational skills, follow-up skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Consistent attendance and reliability.
Additional Qualifications
- Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Experience applying the revenue accounting standard (ASC 606) is a plus.
- International accounting and consolidations experience and familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
Pay
Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000
