Senior Accountant
About the Job
The Senior Accountant is part of a finance team responsible for helping to bring specialty coffee and delicious food to our markets. With 82 US cafe locations, several production sites, and more cafes opening in the coming years, this role acts as a liaison between accounting and real estate (60%) and generally supports the accounting function (40%). We are looking for someone passionate and excited to make a direct impact in a growing company. This position is remote and will report to our Business Controller, US. Employees are required to be based within 50 miles of the San Francisco Bay Area.
You Will
- Be responsible for completing complex accounting tasks related to all areas of the income statement and balance sheet, including journal entries, account reconciliations, preparing reports, flux analysis, and month-end close.
- Be the lead accountant for Property Accounting for > 80 locations, including Rent, CAM, Utilities, Taxes, Licenses, Deposits, Prepaids, Allocations, and other accounting areas.
- Identify areas to improve & streamline our current accounting processes.
- Perform ad hoc analysis, projects, and administrative tasks as needed.

You Have
- 3+ years of corporate accounting experience and good knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience using a variety of software and systems including: NetSuite, Excel, Adaptive Planning, Floqast, Coupa, Square.
- Experience performing multi-location property accounting helpful.
- Experience working in a multi-location retail organization helpful.
- Experience reading and interpreting lease agreements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.

Pay
$115,000 - $125,000 a year. This salary range is a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, which include a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
