Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will play a key role within the Finance team, supporting the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple entities and business segments. This role requires strong accounting knowledge and hands-on experience with a large ERP platform, preferably Oracle. The role contributes to identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy across the accounting function.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Management
  • Maintain and review the general ledger
  • Record complex journal entries
  • Reconcile accounts (bank, balance sheet, etc.)
• Month-End and Year-End Close
  • Assist in the month-end close process
  • Review entries and adjustments
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure deadlines for financial reporting are met
• Financial Reporting
  • Ensure reports comply with accounting standards such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Analyze financial results and explain variances
  • Prepare monthly financial pack
• Audit Support
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
  • Address auditor questions and findings
• Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes
  • Implement new accounting systems or automation tools
  • Improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting

Requirements

• 5-7 years of accounting and finance experience
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred

Skills

• Strong accounting knowledge
• Experience working with a large ERP platform (preferably Oracle)
• Experience working with multiple entities and business segments
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Process optimization experience
• Excellent Excel skills; Power BI is a plus
