Senior Account Executive, Western Region

About the role
The Senior Account Executive will support LYT's revenue goals by expanding our market footprint across both Transit Signal Priority (TSP) and Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP) solutions in the Western region. You will develop and implement territory-specific go-to-market plans, defining strategies and tactics to win business within municipal transit agencies, emergency services, and local government markets. This role involves leading strategic account prospect engagement from initial discussions to contract negotiations, coordinating with cross-functional partners, and executing our revenue strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a comprehensive plan to acquire strategic public sector customers across both TSP and EVP domains in the Western territory.
- Exceed sales goals and quota.
- Review and lead RFP responses for transit and emergency services deployments in the assigned territory.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to implement your go-to-market plan.
- Act as the main point of contact to prospective clients, leading all communications, proposals, and negotiations.
- Develop a deep understanding of our TSP and EVP products and the specific needs of prospective state, transit, and public safety customers.
- Effectively present the value of LYT to prospective customers.
- Maintain and build client relationships.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in sales or business development.
- Experience selling to public sector clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Experience closing technical sales opportunities independently.
- Strong transit agency or public safety contacts within the Western territory are a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Must be based in California.
Pay
Base Salary Range: $82,000 to $124,000 annually. Final range placement is determined by localized geographic labor markets and candidate experience.
Target Variable Commission: $82,000 to $124,000 annually based on target quota attainment. This position features an equal split plan with uncapped earning potential.
Expected Total On-Target Earnings Range: $82,000 to $248,000 annually. Operational quota and corresponding target variable earnings for the remainder of the 2026 fiscal year will be prorated based on start date.
