Overview

A Senior Account Executive is responsible for the execution and management of client programs, including coordinating and implementing projects; regularly interfacing with client representatives; and supervising and mentoring account team members. We're seeking a passionate media relations professional to join our team as a Senior Account Executive, bringing expertise in storytelling at the intersection of technology, innovation, and social impact.

Responsibilities

  • Drive effective implementation of client PR programs
  • Manage people and projects to deliver high quality results on-time and on-budget
  • Anticipate issues
  • Delegate and assign work among team members
  • Make recommendations for ways to meet client needs
  • Serve as a representative of the client and agency on-site at client events
  • Aid account team leads with account financials: develop and manage budgets, fee estimates, out-of-pocket expenses, etc.
  • Regularly monitor to ensure execution is staying on-budget; regularly report budget status to account team lead and/or agency management
  • Develop creative ideas and tactical elements for client programs
  • Serve as a client contact and maintain relationships with key client personnel
  • Accommodate and anticipate client needs; make recommendations to clients
  • Respond to requests for information from clients in a timely manner
  • Participate in client calls, meetings, presentations to the client and client brainstorms; attend client events
  • Craft compelling storytelling angles that resonate with independent media audiences and new media platforms
  • Identify and leverage emerging media opportunities aligned with client narratives around technology, innovation, and social impact
  • Actively participate in agency committees or departments as designated/asked
  • Show integrity and good judgment when working with colleagues and clients
  • Demonstrate an interest in the long-range health of the agency
  • Represent the agency in professional associations

Qualifications

  • B.A. in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or the like
  • Three (3) to four (4) years’ experience in a public relations agency or similar position
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Compensation

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this role is $70K - 85K. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
