Position Summary
The Social Producer is the operational backbone of Silversea’s social media content productions. This role owns the end-to-end logistics of every shoot — from travel planning and vendor coordination to on-site execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages end-to-end social content productions (pre-production, production, post-production) to deliver high-quality content on schedule and within scope.
- Owns project budgets, accruals, and forecasts, optimizing spend and reporting financial status to stakeholders.
- Develops and enforces clear scopes of work and contract terms with agencies, vendors, and partners to mitigate risk and ensure deliverable alignment.
- Captures and coordinates complex logistics, including itineraries and ship operations, to enable efficient on-location productions.
- Identifies risks and drives timely resolutions or escalations to protect quality, schedule, and budget.
- Improves production workflows and documentation to increase efficiency and consistency across social content programs.
- Plans and manages all production travel — flights, hotels, ship bookings, and ground transportation — for the full team and any external collaborators.
- Builts and maintains production schedules, call sheets, and shot lists.
- Captures pre-production planning with ship operations teams and shore excursion contacts to confirm logistics, permits, and location approvals ahead of each voyage.
- Tracks all production spend and procurement.
- Manages permitting for all production activity, including drone operations and location permits across ports and onboard.
- Oversees appearance and location release forms, ensuring all documentation is signed, filed, and synced with Legal.
- Manages all production equipment through travel: responsible for packing, inventorying, and physically overseeing all gear bags from departure through return.
- Owns the ATA Carnet process end-to-end — preparing documentation, interfacing with customs officers at each port of entry, and ensuring full compliance for international equipment travel.
