Senior Account Executive, PR

About the role

At MMGY Global, we seek a Senior Account Executive, PR for our Austin, TX office. This position is ideal for someone who loves to travel, enjoys working with high-level media contacts, and has a passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Storytelling via pitch and press release writing
• Creative development of packages, promotions, events and partnerships
• Arranging interviews and landing thought leadership pieces
• Coordinating and hosting press trips
• Leadership and/or community engagement opportunities through the Culture Crew and Employee Resource Groups

Requirements

• BA/BS college degree in communications or journalism with 3-5 years PR/related experience, preferably with a direct travel and lifestyle client background
• A strong network of high-level print, digital and broadcast media contacts
• Sharp pitching and networking skills
• Proficient writing
• Self-starting and hands-on
• Organized and thoughtful
• Superior people skills
• Problem solving techniques
• Savvy client counsel
• Creative thinking skills
• Enjoys working with and mentoring others
• A zest for storytelling and a love for travel
