Senior Account Executive OR Account Supervisor, Consumer Lifestyle

About the role

Small Girls PR is seeking a Senior Account Executive or Account Supervisor (depending on experience) to support higher-level client communications, lead call and meeting efforts, and participate in strategy discussions. The ideal candidate should have developed strong media relationships and a track record of securing meaningful placements.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside client leads to contribute ideas towards viral campaign moments and bring them to life.
• Craft creative pitch angles that position clients uniquely from their competitors and yield 20-100 placements per campaign idea.
• Write pitches, fact sheets, media briefs, press releases, and more with ease to provide media everything they need to garner killer coverage.
• Establish and maintain warm relationships with consumer media across print, digital, podcasts, substacks, and broadcast outlets, leading to regular placements and feature stories.
• Help develop strategies and relationships to earn placements in social media channels, such as Hypebeast's TikTok.
• Mentor our strong and capable junior team, helping them flourish into future leaders.
• Manage up to senior leaders, sharing recommendations for areas of growth for team members or clients they work with to support the overall growth of the team and larger business.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3-5+ years of relevant experience (agency experience or fast-paced startup background preferred).
• An ideal true generalist with a focus on lifestyle and consumer tech spaces.
• An intellectually curious and natural storyteller.
• Able to secure top-tier press placements and have the clips to prove it.
• A skilled writer who crafts pitches and copy with clarity and cleverness.
• Able to forge relationships with media, colleagues, and clients.
• Comfortable leading client calls and providing strategic counsel.
• A creative thinker who isn't afraid to take risks or push the envelope.
• A passionate about error-free work, double-checking every detail and spotting typos.
