Key Responsibilities
- Owns the client relationship.
- Builds and maintains effective client relationships, frequently at the senior level, by establishing trust and credibility at all levels in the client's organization, including senior management.
- Establishes regular communication with clients to ensure their satisfaction and facilitate our long-term profitability and growth.
- Effectively provides leadership and support to ensure the agency's perspective is effectively communicated and represented, fostering a collaborative environment that aligns team efforts with the organization's goals and values.
- Driven to grow accounts, ensuring all opportunities and challenges within an assigned client are understood, solutions are identified, and pushes the team to pursue upsell opportunities.
- Collaborates with key leaders to present effective solutions that engage clients and generate excitement for additional projects.
- Able to author most parts of a pitch presentation with key input from SMEs.
- Ensures the accurate management of the account financials, including managing reporting.
- Leads and reports on monthly and quarterly forecast updates for the assigned client account(s).
- Writes monthly account updates and keeps senior management informed of any issues with proactive ideation.
- Guides and directs cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work, strong business results, and service excellence for clients (across Strategy, Engagement, Digital, Creative, Science, PM, etc.).
- Demonstrates exemplary behavior with overall on-the-job professionalism and models leadership behavior by communicating expectations and values clearly, giving employees time to adjust to new tools or practices.
- Fosters effective working relationships, builds confidence and trust, and ensures clear communication of expectations and feedback.
- Leads and guides team spirit and is often relied upon to help them find a quick, acceptable path through difficult situations.
- Exhibits effective working relationships across CGL capabilities to drive complex projects from both a strategic and business relationship perspective.
- In-depth understanding of omnichannel marketing concepts and campaigns, including best practices across digital channels, data management, analytics, and related technologies.
- Serves as team leader to both the agency team and the client and the client’s agency partners.
- Advances best practices in agency process.
- Demonstrated understanding and leadership of pharma/healthcare marketing fundamentals.
- Effectively manages, guides, and coaches direct reports by staying involved in their development and providing valuable feedback, guidance, and encouragement.
- Takes an active role in mentoring junior team members on best practices and client handling and alerts them to opportunities for mentorship across CGL to achieve career goals.
- Contributes to staffing planning for client accounts.
- 12+ years of pharmaceutical agency experience.
- Experience working on an AOR pharmaceutical client.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Prior agency experience with drug launch and multi-channel marketing plan execution.
- Demonstrates ability to adapt to various client corporate cultures and work with a diverse range of personalities.
- Management experience is required.
- Able to empower, keep teams on track, and participate in the professional development of the team.
- Outstanding business interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain sophisticated terms, clinical trials, and studies pertaining to the brand. Strong data orientation.
- Excellent analytical and strategic-thinking abilities to carefully manage details while juggling multiple projects.
- Puts together exceptional professional-looking documents and presentations.
- Exceptional presentation/public speaking skills.
- Ability to focus and work under pressure during tight deadlines with humor, tact, and professionalism.

The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 USD and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At CG Life, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors.
