Senior Academic Coach

About the role

Assigns student caseloads to Academic Coaches and assesses difficult cases. Identifies appropriate measures to aid staff in student assistance. Analyzes and interprets reports on student degree progression and makes data-informed decisions, delivers high-quality supports, programs, and services, and address barriers that may prevent success. Presents at meetings, workshops, and other venues for internal and external stakeholders to disseminate and enhance Cleveland State University (CSU’s) retention strategies. Represents CSU at various recruitment events, meetings and serves on committees. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in student personnel services, adult learning & development, counseling, guidance, education or a related field of study.
• Five (5) years of progressive experience in higher education academic advising, graduation success coaching, or in a higher education student services area.
• Supervisor or leadership experience.
