This position reports to the Sr. Manager, SAP Development and is based in our Irvine office.
Responsibilities
- Enhance, maintain, and support the SAP design and development process by developing new programs and resolving defects.
- Aid in solving end-user problems and answer development-related questions.
- Test and validate development efforts.
- Work with SAP and third-party systems including Solution Manager, SAP, and other transactional and support systems, occasionally leading third-party developers.
- Write or assist with the writing of functional and/or technical requirements.
- Write new or modify existing ABAP reports, user exits, BADIs, and dialog programs.
- Define and develop programs and interfaces using BAPI, IDOC, BDC, Smart Forms, or SAP Script (Screens/Reports/Interfaces).
- Document and track issues/incidents.
- Troubleshoot and/or tune performance issues.
- Handle day-to-day transactions related to data problems and coordinate testing of newly developed programs.
- Ensure all development protocols are followed throughout the software lifecycle.
- Create and maintain program variants and background jobs.
- Maintain and support the implementation of third-party SAP bolted-on software/programs as required.
- Provide development objects documentation and operating procedures to assist business and end users.
Requirements
- College degree and at least 5 years of extensive experience in SAP ABAP and NetWeaver Tools.
- 6+ years of SAP ECC experience and 2+ years of AFS experience.
- Strong ABAP Development background with exposure to SD, MM, FI, and AFS.
- Knowledge of data migration methods in SAP R/3 (e.g., BAPI Function modules, LSMW, call session, call transaction).
- Experience with ALE, EDI, IDocs, and Proxy programs.
- Knowledge of OOP (object-oriented programming concepts) such as classes and interfaces.
- Significant SD knowledge of Master Data (Customer, Material), Pricing, Output, Sales, Shipping, Transportation, and Billing.
- Web Service/XML & REST API development experience.
- Knowledge of SAP PI/PO adapters and their implementation.
- Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a detail-oriented, goal-driven environment.
Nice to have
- PI (Process Integration) or PO (Process Orchestration) experience.
- Hands-on experience in BW/4HANA, creating Advanced DSO (ADSO), Open DSO Views, Composite Providers, and SAP query.
- Knowledge of BW, HANA, Fiori, OData, and PI/PO.
Physical Requirements
- May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday, either on-site or remote.
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Significant mental work required during program development, testing, and implementation.
Schedule
Must be available to work in-office Monday through Thursday. Friday can be worked from home. Rare off-hours and weekends as needed.
Pay
Annual Salary: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00. The actual annual salary offered will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements.
