About the role
The University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior is seeking established research scientists including clinical investigators at the Assistant / Associate / Full Professor level for the Ladder Rank series.
Responsibilities
- Conduct impactful, competitively funded clinical/translational research in major mental health disorders, such as mood disorders (including major depression and bipolar illness), neurodevelopmental disorders, psychosis and addiction/substance use disorders.
- Build new research programs that leverage the rich and uniquely collaborative intellectual environment and robust research infrastructure of the University of California at Irvine.
- Contribute to the educational mission of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior including the training of the next generation of mental health researchers.
Requirements
- Possess an M.D., M.D./Ph.D. or PhD degree.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $93,700-$246,000. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment.
