Semiconductor Maintenance Technician - CMP

About the role

The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in Chandler Fab CMP equipment area.

Responsibilities

• Effectively execute tasks required to maintain primarily the toolsets within the following tool groups: CMP AMAT Mirra Mesa 200mm AMAT Mirra 200mm Ontrak DSS-200 (Classic, Synergy, CE)
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic and mechanical systems
• Scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and various other activities relevant to the success of the area
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills related to SPC, 5s, FDC systems
• Interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied
• Understand and follow all safety protocols when working around hazardous chemicals
• Complete documentation and train others
• Communicate using written and verbal skills, stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours), and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds
• Work in a compressed shift schedule, job openings on either days or nights may be available

Key Challenges

• Able to diagnose equipment alarms, read operational data and create action plans as needed
• Able to work in a high-volume manufacturing environment and sustain equipment with minimal direction
• Able to use root-cause problem-solving techniques to solve complex problems on Semiconductor toolsets

Requirements

• A solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to interface with other internal and external groups
• Understanding and following safety protocols
• Physical ability to perform required tasks including stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds
• Effective communication skills

Qualifications

• AA, AS, AAS in electronics or other mechanical discipline preferred
• Experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements
