Semi Truck Driver

About the role

Position Objective: In this job, the team member will pick up and deliver commodities and products in a manner that will optimize efficiencies and result in outstanding customer service. Location: CFS trade territory – any location.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product to and pick up product from specified locations
• Ensure all paperwork is properly completed and submitted to your supervisor in a timely manner
• Ensure pickup/deliveries are performed in such a manner as to maintain good customer relations
• Comply with all federal and state Department of Transportation regulations and strive for excellent Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) scores
• Know and follow all company safety policies/procedure
• Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Report all maintenance items to supervisor
• Maintain equipment in operational and clean appearance at all times
• Represent yourself and CFS professionally at all times in action and appearance
• Make decisions and follow instructions with little or no supervision
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Maintain required Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification
• Ability to obtain endorsements to the CDL as necessary
• Maintain insurability requirements in accordance with property and casualty insurance guidelines
• One-year relevant experience or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Pay

Compensation: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
