Semi-skilled Oper - Prod Job
Armstrong World Industries is seeking self-motivated production material handlers for our manufacturing facility in Hebron, Ohio. Under the direction of the Production Manager and frequent guidance from a Team Leader, you will perform a variety of tasks to safely produce high-quality products that meet and exceed customer requirements.
The estimated base salary range for this role is $39,520 - $40,560 per year. Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.

Responsibilities
- Follow all Company and OSHA Safety Policies.
- Assemble materials and package finished products for transport to customers.
- Operate machinery or stations as instructed by the Team Leader or Production Manager to meet scheduled demands.
- Ensure adherence to and improvement of standards for quality, output, safety, and environmental responsibility.
- Properly maintain equipment.
- Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services without compromising safety or environmental standards.
- Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
- Conform to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping floors and emptying trash containers daily.
- Must be available to work any shift, including weekends and rotating shifts.
- Must be able to read, write, and use measuring devices.

About the location
Tectum, Inc., a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, operates one of twenty-one Armstrong plants in North America. Our Tectum manufacturing plant in Newark, Ohio, employs many people across two shifts involved in manufacturing and shipping our Tectum product. With over 60 years of innovation and experience in noise reduction, our Tectum plant offers solutions for a wide range of noise problems.
This position is located in Newark, Ohio, the county seat of Licking County, 40 miles northeast of Columbus. Licking County offers a variety of attractions, including:
- Newark Earthworks, a National Historic Landmark featuring 2,000-year-old geometric earthworks built by the Hopewell Culture.
- The Midland Theatre, a 1,200-seat venue hosting family-friendly shows, legendary artists, world-class dance, and intimate performances.
