About the role
BizScout is a marketplace for buying and selling small businesses. We connect buyers with business owners, across industries and deal sizes. We have over 150,000 registered users and are growing fast.
Responsibilities
- Call small business owners cold, introduce them to BizScout, and ask if they would be open to a conversation about selling their business.
- Work from a daily target list provided by BizScout, but also network, ask for referrals, and find your own paths to the right conversations.
- Earn a commission when you book a qualified meeting with Stephen Brown, our Head of Private Client.
- Earn another commission when a business from your pipeline actually sells.
Requirements
- Hate losing more than they fear rejection.
- Have the discipline to make a high volume of calls every day without burning out or cutting corners.
- Build relationships instinctively, not transactionally.
- Treat a no as information, not a stop sign.
- Show up to work every day ready to perform, not just participate.
Qualifications
- None. The right person is more important than the right resume.
Skills
- Can make a stranger feel comfortable and curious within the first ten seconds of a phone call.
Benefits
- Location: Austin, TX (in-office, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm).
- Base Salary: $15/hour + commission.
- Compensation: Base plus commission on signed NDAs.
