Self-Storage Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of assigned self-storage properties
• Perform lock checks as directed and verify move-out units with the Property Manager
• Complete maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy
• Complete preventative maintenance activities
• Sweep, clean, and maintain interior hallways as required
• Provide service and maintenance for common areas including fence lines, drive aisles, lawn, and shrubbery
• Perform snow removal of sidewalks when applicable
• Maintain a log of weather and snow removal efforts
• Maintain tools, equipment, and replacement parts in working condition
• Support additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience
• Language skills: ability to read, write, speak, and interpret basic instructions and simple correspondence; ability to present information one-on-one or in small groups
• Math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide by 10s and 100s
• Reasoning skills: ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions with common-sense understanding; ability to solve problems with few variables in standardized situations
• Computer skills: beginner-level skills with MS Outlook and MS Word
