Self-Funded Director, Claims

About the role

This fully remote position focuses on managing workers compensation claims with jurisdictional experience in Arizona. You will apply claims management expertise to analyze exposure, determine the proper course of action, and resolve claims effectively.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex workers compensation claims using analytical skills to make informed decisions and achieve resolution.
• Interact extensively with claimants, clients, and other parties to ensure effective communication and claim resolution.
• Provide exceptional customer service to claimants, demonstrating empathy throughout the claims process.
• Handle claims in accordance with client and corporate policies, procedures, and standard methodologies, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
• Document and communicate claim activity promptly and efficiently to support claim file outcomes.
• Partner with clients to deliver innovative solutions and enhance the claims management process.
• Think critically, solve problems, plan, and prioritize tasks to optimally serve clients and claimants.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of related claims experience.
• Active Arizona workers compensation adjuster license (or ability to obtain one).
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices in workers compensation claims.
• Proficiency with claims and business software.
