About the role

The Self Direction Accounts Payable Supervisor will be the primary contact and support for all fiscal-related matters within the Self Direction program. This role acts as a point person for Lead AP Specialists and other AP Specialists to assist individuals and advocates receiving services. The supervisor will support the Lead AP Specialist to maintain continuity of services and assist with ongoing project and team management. Responsibilities include ensuring all Fiscal Intermediary supports are provided as outlined in the person’s Life Plan, Staff Action Plan, and the New York State OPWDD Self Direction Budget. The role also involves supporting the team in understanding AIM Self Direction policies and procedures, obtaining required documentation, and collaborating with internal and external Self Direction teams to provide person-centered supports.

Responsibilities

  • Support the AIM Self-Direction Department with all fiscal intermediary policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Self Direction Department with routine external trainings.
  • Act as the point person and mentor for Lead AP Specialists, providing support with team communications or reimbursement processing coverage while AP Specialists are out.
  • Support Lead AP Specialists with oversight of AP Specialists, Bookkeepers, and departmental operations as needed.
  • Ensure teams are trained and comfortable with the Evero Software Platform.
  • Participate as an active member of individuals’ program teams and Circle of Support as requested.
  • Maintain flexibility in schedule to ensure individual care and program implementation.
  • Perform any other related duties as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in a Human Services-related field with 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred; OR High School Diploma with 4 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • 1 year of supervision experience preferred.
  • Program-specific training (provided).
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License acceptable to Agency Insurance standards. Maintain valid insurance and provide an insurance card if using your own vehicle.
  • Ability to exhibit and maintain a professional, kind, courteous, and patient manner at all times.
  • Complete the Broker Training Institute (BTI) and any supplemental trainings when offered.

Qualifications

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reading and math skills at a level to perform job duties.
  • Demonstrated interest and ability to support the personal outcomes of individuals receiving services.
  • Adherence to Agency policies, including the attendance policy.

Pay

$30.00 - $32.00 per hour.
