Local Clinical Manager support for a self-contained middle school aged group in Scottsdale, Arizona for the 2026-2027 school year.

About the role

As a Special Education Teacher at LEARN Academy, you play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of comprehensive special education services to children with diverse learning needs. You implement evidence-based interventions that enhance students' academic, social, and life skills, promoting their success in the educational environment. You will work across school settings alongside teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to deliver high-quality support.

Responsibilities

  • Assess students' abilities and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to their unique needs.
  • Adapt general education lessons and teaching techniques to meet the needs of students with various disabilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Prepare and organize classroom activities, educational materials, and assistive technologies to create an effective learning environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies and IEPs as necessary.
  • Manage classroom behavior, implementing positive behavior support strategies when needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in special education.
  • Support early intervening services by participating in multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) or response to intervention (RTI) initiatives.
  • Advocate for students' needs and rights, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations and services.
  • Complete academic assessments as directed by school site.
  • Other duties as assigned; responsibilities may change based on organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in special education or related field.
  • Current ADE certification.
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint card.
  • Presently eligible to work in the United States.
