About the role
Join the US Foods team and be part of a company that's leading the foodservice industry. This role involves safely and accurately selecting customer orders, building and wrapping pallets, performing pre-shift equipment checks, and operating an electric pallet.
Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately select customer orders.
- Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy.
- Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet.
- Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment.
- Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free.
- Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders.
- Team up to clear aisles of debris, stack empty pallets from slots in aisle, and return pallet jacks to charging area.
Requirements
- Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees.
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift.
Qualifications
- Able to read and communicate in the English language.
- Must have recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role, such as lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
- Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment.
Skills
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly adaptable to changing environments and schedules.

Pay
The expected base rate for this role is between $30.47 and $33.86. Overtime compensation, shift pay, and incentive compensation based on productivity and quality may also apply.
Schedule
First 3 weeks of training is Monday – Friday 8 hour days. After 3 weeks, the schedule will be Tuesday and Wednesdays OFF. Work Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday. Four 10 hour a day shifts, evening work schedule. Overtime as needed.
