About the role

As a Selector at Shurtape Technologies, you will safely, accurately, and efficiently pick and assemble products to fulfill customer orders based on demand. This position includes handling Value Added Services requested by customers, unloading and assembling product from inbound containers to pallets, and maintaining the Logistics Center in accordance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, sort, and segregate material from inbound containers and/or warehouse racks and storage locations.
  • Perform basic Value-Added Service tasks for customer orders (e.g., using slip sheets, labeling, applying placards, transferring to specialty pallets, assembling special configurations, applying UCC128 labels, and packing lists).
  • Follow all safety expectations designated in the Logistics Center, including operating a motorized pallet jack and performing pre-shift inspections, lock out/tag out procedures.
  • Maintain the condition of the Logistics Center in accordance with Supply Chain Excellence Audit standards.
  • Cultivate Shurtape Technologies culture and values by promoting communication, teamwork, and respectful treatment of all individuals.
  • Utilize a warehouse management picking program, including following basic radio frequency device commands.
  • Assemble orders while adhering to proper picking procedures (scanning, stacking level/auditable, minimizing damage, counting precisely, etc.).
  • Adhere to radio frequency scanner and productivity procedures by staying logged into appropriate computer programs.
  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and productivity standards.
  • Hand stack and/or unload product from containers/trailers onto pallets, segregating products based on receiving worksheets and stacking configurations.
  • Maintain cleaning standards in the Logistics Center, including removing bands, cardboard, excess shrink film, empty skids, damage, and sweeping.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by Team Lead or Supervisor based on business needs.
  • Cycle count locations as directed by the system or Supervisor.
  • Log into proper LM codes for the function being performed.

Requirements

  • Able to use and read work order selection and product movement computer programs.
  • Able to operate a motorized pallet jack and demonstrate basic requirements for safely operating powered industrial equipment.
  • Effective math and counting skills.
  • Professional attitude toward work and co-workers.
  • Punctual and dependable (arriving to work, showing for overtime, managing break times, etc.).

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
