The Select Underwriter is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, quoting, and declining Quick Quote and Non Quick Quote business, performing follow‑up on QQ quotes, fostering carrier and broker relationships, and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues while supporting the Workers’ Compensation Division and all departments that interact with Underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Quick Quote & Commercial Auto: review, analyze, underwrite, quote, bind & endorse within established premium range.
• New business <$25K & Renewal business <$50K.
• Quote follow‑up on QQ new business and renewals on a weekly basis via automated report; feedback documented in Employee Tools.
• Non Quick Quote: review, analyze, underwrite, quote, bind & endorse within established premium range for renewal business <$25K.
• Maintain and manage relations with AGIA producers via email, telephone, or in‑person meetings.
• Build and maintain favorable carrier relationships via phone, email, and personal interaction.
• Conduct field visits to assigned agency bases to foster relationships and provide program information and education.
• Meet deadlines and goals set by management.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues while supporting the Workers’ Compensation Division and other departments.
• Adhere to Arrowhead General Insurance Agency Service Standards.
• Understand and adhere to carrier guidelines, systems, and processes.
• Input data in risk evaluations; order Compline, Experian Report, Contractor’s License, and website information as needed for rush submissions.
