Segment Manager
About the role
The Segment Manager will assist the Project Executive in managing the project through oversight of a segment of the 32-mile CP1 construction area in Fresno, CA. This includes overseeing construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to plans and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with owner representatives, project staff, subcontractors, and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activities within the assigned segment.
- Understand and manage the construction of the assigned segment in accordance with all plans and specifications.
- Monitor/control construction of the assigned segment through administrative direction of on-site Superintendents to ensure project is built safely, meeting all quality standards, on schedule, and within budget.
- Identify potential construction issues, evaluate and implement best value solutions to facilitate uninterrupted construction.
- Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
- Represent the company in project meetings, assist in strategy meetings, etc.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interest and maintain good relationships with the owner.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on heavy civil projects.
- 15+ years of construction experience.
- Previous experience in construction of rail projects.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $180,000 - $245,000 depending upon experience.
