Responsibilities

  • Support the Air Force Cognizant Security Authority (CSA) in overseeing national security objectives by providing day-to-day security support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
  • Deliver integrated, multi-disciplinary security services across information security, personnel security, operations security (OPSEC), industrial security, physical security, communications security (COMSEC), and anti-terrorism/force protection functions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate security policies, procedures, standards, training, and protection measures to safeguard personnel, information, facilities, operations, and materials from unauthorized access, loss, theft, espionage, sabotage, or misuse.
  • Avoid compliance with NISPOM, DoD, and Air Force security regulations while providing responsive security support in dynamic operational environments under the direction of government security leadership.

  • Manage and maintain Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) level program information, personnel security clearances and physical security requirements of classified facilities.
  • Conduct Intrusion Detection System (IDS) monitoring.
  • Respond to alarms with in 5 minutes.
  • Cook with local law enforcement or facility managers as needed.
  • Prepare, process, and/or review Visitor Certification Request for accuracy and access eligibility.
  • Conduct effective entry and exit inspections along with any other random anti-terrorism measures as directed by unit, installation or higher-level anti-terrorism authority.
  • Aid in maintaining facility access control, to include visitor control/escorting and access badge creation, issuing and tracking.
  • Aid in accomplishing end-of-duty day security checks.
  • Must be knowledgeable of security policy/manuals and the appropriate DoD and AF Directives, Manuals, and Instructions.
  • Must be able to use DISS (Defense Information Security System) (and/or its replacement system) and be able to interpret eligibility reports and requirements.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree and up to 3 years of relevant experience or 5 years of direct experience.
  • Possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Be able to perform all functional duties independently.
  • Be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
