About the role
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented self-starter to join our fast-paced Personnel Security Office and help ensure L3H maintains full compliance with all customer Personnel Security (PERSEC) requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, multi-faceted environment and demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
In this role, the selected candidate will facilitate program briefings and proactively identify individuals requiring debriefing, coordinating closely with the sponsor's COTR and Business Unit leads. The candidate will also interface professionally with stakeholders at all levels of the customer and business organization, handling sensitive inquiries with discretion and professionalism.
Beyond core security functions, the ideal candidate will play an active role in mentoring and supporting the development of junior team members, while also preparing correspondence, reports, and data visualizations using Microsoft Office and Tableau. The selected individual will further support both routine and non-routine administrative tasks associated with project and program efforts.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all Intel and Cyber programs are in compliance with customer PERSEC requirements
- Brief individuals on their responsibilities of having and maintaining a security clearance
- Debrief individuals who are terminating or no longer need their security access
- Process personnel security applications for prospective candidates and employees
- Determine whether subjects of investigation can be granted reciprocity by a completed investigation from another agency
- Use security databases, such as DISS, and familiarize with DoD guidance and 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM
- Review investigative documents completed by personnel for errors, omissions, and quality
- Work with applicants and points of contact (Security, HR, Program) on case issues
- Receive notification from U.S. Government regarding background investigation case matters and refer such information to appropriate staff personnel
- Perform security functions to include updating and maintaining personnel security databases and repositories and creating employee security records
- Handle sensitive inquiries made by internal and external customers and employees
- Follow-up on correspondence from both internal and external customers requiring review, approval, and/or response
- Willingness to submit to a CI or FS polygraph
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
Skills
- Working knowledge of the Security Information Management System (SIMS)
- Excellent customer service via phone and face-to-face conversation, excellent written and oral skills
- Ability to interpret and follow specific written and oral instructions and communicate orally and in writing
- Familiarity with DISS

9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off.
