About the role
The Truth seeks a part-time Security Supervisor to oversee and coordinate security staff and services for guests. Key responsibilities include direct supervision, guest service, staff training, and compliance with policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise security staff and other employees performing security services for guests.
- Provide guest service by greeting and assisting guests and responding to inquiries and complaints.
- Lead staff, conduct ongoing training, manage breaks, and ensure staff are informed about event-specific details.
- Avoid and report incidents such as equipment or property damage, theft, unauthorized persons, and unusual occurrences.
- Oversee productivity and work assignments, communicate challenges and status to the Security Manager, and close the venue after shows.
- Partner with fellow staff members to collect recyclables, store event equipment, and perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Valid Tennessee Unarmed Security Guard Registration ("Guard Card") upon hire.
- Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures.
- Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
- A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
Qualifications
- Constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs., and occasional sitting.
