Security Supervisor FT Nights

About the role

The Security Supervisor oversees security operations during an assigned shift to ensure the safety and well‑being of patients, employees, physicians, visitors, and hospital property. This position supervises security personnel, coordinates responses to security and safety incidents, ensures accurate documentation, promotes compliance with hospital policies, and provides visible leadership and exceptional customer service throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate security staff during the assigned shift.
• Coordinate and respond to security and safety incidents, including emergencies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records and reports of all events.
• Ensure compliance with hospital and system‑wide policies and procedures.
• Provide professional, courteous, and customer‑focused service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Act as a visible leader to foster a safe and secure environment.
• Assist with moving or lifting patients when necessary.
• Operate portable radio communication devices and fire extinguishers as needed.
• Perform duties outdoors and in adverse weather conditions.

Requirements

• Three to five years of supervisory, security, and/or law‑enforcement experience (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) (preferred).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of hospital and system‑wide policies and procedures.
• Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in security and safety incidents.
• Capability to react appropriately and effectively in emergency situations.
• Knowledge of CPR, first aid, and portable fire extinguishers.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and walk quickly for extended periods.
• Ability to see and hear accurately in both daytime and nighttime conditions.
• Ability to lift or assist patients weighing more than 100 lb.
• Willingness to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, or snow.
• Strong leadership skills to supervise, motivate, and support security personnel.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.

Pay

Annual Compensation: $55,848 (minimum rate; actual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and other factors).

Schedule

Full‑time night shift: 11 p.m. – 7 a.m.
