General Summary of Duties
- Patrol all areas of the property; secure rooms; assist guests with room access
- Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions and alarm systems
- Authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas
- Follow up on all unusual activities in and around the property
- Defuse disturbances in accordance with Hotel policies and procedures
- Escort unwelcome persons from the property
- Aid external and internal guests during emergency situations
- Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required
- Aid the Director and Manager of Safety & Security in administering fire prevention programs and emergency preparedness
- Aid the Director and Manager of Safety & Security in the oversight of all loss prevention operations
- Train all Internal Guests on the four parts of OSHA
- Comply with applicable federal, state and local law and safety regulations
- Handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts
- Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
- Provide personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients
- Train all new hires on loss prevention policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Position Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
- Three (3) years of experience in the safety/security/loss prevention field
- One (1) year of supervisor/management experience in the safety/security/loss prevention field
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, come of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and work independently is required
