About the Role
The Security Supervisor leads security operations at an assigned Global Power Components facility. This hands-on leadership position requires sound judgment, professionalism, accountability, and the ability to proactively identify opportunities to strengthen physical security, operational consistency, and incident prevention.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day security operations for an assigned facility.
- Serve as the primary security leader and point of contact for site leadership.
- Supervise, coach, and develop security team members while promoting professionalism, accountability, and customer service.
- Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, and security coverage across assigned shifts and locations.
- Conduct patrols, inspections, and reviews of security operations to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Conduct site security assessments and identify opportunities to strengthen physical security and reduce risk.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, workplace disruptions, theft concerns, and access control issues.
- Lead preliminary investigations, gather facts and documentation, and prepare accurate incident reports.
- Identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for preventive action.
- Recommend and support implementation of security improvements, procedures, and corrective actions.
- Partner with Operations, HR, Safety, Facilities, and Maintenance on security-related matters.
- Maintain schedules, reports, post orders, and security documentation.
- Support training, onboarding, audits, emergency preparedness activities, and security-related projects.
- Communicate site risks, staffing needs, incidents, and improvement opportunities to Security leadership.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in corporate security, industrial security, law enforcement, military, corrections, loss prevention, emergency response, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory, military leadership, law enforcement leadership, or equivalent people leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage incidents, conduct investigations, and hold employees accountable.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing, industrial, logistics, warehouse, or distribution experience.
- Military leadership, law enforcement supervision, corrections supervision, or corporate security leadership experience.
- Experience conducting security assessments, investigations, and risk mitigation activities.
- Experience with access control, surveillance, badge, and visitor management systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
