Security Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Billable presence: 40+ hours per week in a billable, uniform supervisor capacity, maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility and being approachable to staff and patrons.
• Supervision: Direct, supervise, and manage assigned officers to execute strategies consistent with law, client policy, and accepted security standards that maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment aligned with the organization’s mission.
• Site training: Oversee training of all assigned officers and ensure they perform all duties outlined in the site’s post guidelines.
• Client communication: Maintain regular contact with the designated client liaison, follow through on requests, and update the operations manager on communications.
• Scheduling: Schedule all security officer shifts three weeks in advance without overtime (unless pre-approved by the operations manager), evaluate time-off requests, and approve time off as appropriate.
• Payroll: Approve time sheets and ensure they are submitted weekly by company-established deadlines.
• Site equipment and uniforms: Maintain an inventory and report problems with DK and client-owned equipment and uniforms.
• On-call availability: Be reachable at all times to field subordinate questions and handle unexpected scheduling issues such as sick employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred).
• Good moral character with no felony convictions or misdemeanors for criminal sexual conduct, theft, assault, or crimes of moral turpitude.
• Ability to pass a drug test at hire and randomly thereafter.
• Preferred: previous leadership or supervisory experience and at least two years as a security officer.
• Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor with above-average customer service skills.
• Impeccable grooming in accordance with the company’s Appearance and Grooming policy.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification (prior certification preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Preferred: scheduling experience and flexibility to cover shifts on short notice.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations.

Physical Requirements

• Physically and mentally sound.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Capable of sitting, standing, or walking for 8–12 hour shifts, including long distances and stairs.
• Ability to respond promptly to emergency situations.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Pay

$19.63 per hour.

Schedule

• On-call availability required.
• First shift: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• 40+ hours per week.
