Serco offers an exciting opportunity to support a Department of Defense customer and the F-35 Joint Program Office mission as a Security Specialist (Operations) - Mid. In this role, you will provide full-spectrum security operations support across collateral, Special Access Program (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments, ensuring security compliance and protecting critical program information.

Responsibilities

  • Support security operations across collateral, Special Access Program (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments.
  • Assist with security documentation, action tracking, access support, records management, and compliance coordination.
  • Process Program Access Requests (PARs) through approved channels.
  • Perform administrative security support requirements associated with the receipt, transmission, inventory, reproduction, disposition, and management of SAP materials.
  • Develop and maintain Program Security Officer (PSO)-approved SAP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each F-35 facility and ensure processes and procedures remain current and approved.
  • Coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders to support operational security requirements and mission execution.
  • Support meetings, briefings, data calls, reports, and recurring leadership updates related to security operations.
  • Review security documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Identify operational risks, process gaps, and opportunities to improve security support execution.
  • Maintain SAP facility accreditation.
  • Maintain, monitor, and service the SAP program post office box.
  • Conduct and report on annual self-inspections of SAP programs.
  • Assist with Security Education and Training support activities.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or seven (7) years of specialized experience performing full-spectrum industrial security duties supporting collateral, SAP, and SCI environments.
  • Thorough knowledge of Department of Defense and military service security regulations, policies, and instructions pertaining to personnel, physical, industrial, and information security.
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Joint Air Force-Army-Navy (JAFAN) security requirements.
  • Experience supporting security operations, industrial security programs, collateral programs, SAP, SCI, or related Department of Defense security functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across government and contractor teams.
  • Ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced, mission-focused security environment.

Schedule

  • Fully on-site in Arlington, Virginia.
  • Must be able to work in the Arlington, Virginia office Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

This position is not currently funded/active and is contingent upon contract award. Serco is seeking qualified candidates in the event of a contract award.
