Serco offers an exciting opportunity to support a Department of Defense customer and the F-35 Joint Program Office mission as a Security Specialist (Operations) - Mid. In this role, you will provide full-spectrum security operations support across collateral, Special Access Program (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments, ensuring security compliance and protecting critical program information.
Responsibilities
- Support security operations across collateral, Special Access Program (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments.
- Assist with security documentation, action tracking, access support, records management, and compliance coordination.
- Process Program Access Requests (PARs) through approved channels.
- Perform administrative security support requirements associated with the receipt, transmission, inventory, reproduction, disposition, and management of SAP materials.
- Develop and maintain Program Security Officer (PSO)-approved SAP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each F-35 facility and ensure processes and procedures remain current and approved.
- Coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders to support operational security requirements and mission execution.
- Support meetings, briefings, data calls, reports, and recurring leadership updates related to security operations.
- Review security documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with customer requirements.
- Identify operational risks, process gaps, and opportunities to improve security support execution.
- Maintain SAP facility accreditation.
- Maintain, monitor, and service the SAP program post office box.
- Conduct and report on annual self-inspections of SAP programs.
- Assist with Security Education and Training support activities.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or seven (7) years of specialized experience performing full-spectrum industrial security duties supporting collateral, SAP, and SCI environments.
- Thorough knowledge of Department of Defense and military service security regulations, policies, and instructions pertaining to personnel, physical, industrial, and information security.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Joint Air Force-Army-Navy (JAFAN) security requirements.
- Experience supporting security operations, industrial security programs, collateral programs, SAP, SCI, or related Department of Defense security functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across government and contractor teams.
- Ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced, mission-focused security environment.

Schedule
- Fully on-site in Arlington, Virginia.
- Must be able to work in the Arlington, Virginia office Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
