About the role

Manage the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security program, to include Communications Security, Operations Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Automation Security, and Industrial Security. Perform technical security support duties in the U.S. Army Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). Investigate damage to national security caused by SCI security infractions and violations. Manage SCI access for civilian, military, and contractor personnel including proper execution of indoctrinations and debriefings. Serve as agency’s official channel for certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances and accesses. Oversee the SCI classification/declassification, downgrading, marking, and sanitization of information. Interpret directives, regulations, and guidelines to provide technical and administrative advice related to agency’s SCI operation.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
  • Must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI)

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience which includes implementing a multi-discipline security program to manage the protection and dissemination of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and to manage access to SCI and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs). Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled.
