Security Specialist
Responsibilities
Security Specialists provide security services for the assigned program (e.g., threat assessment/management, intelligence, security technology, workplace violence, education and training) or special projects/assignments to all Mayo functions and entities, and to external clients as directed.
Security Specialists may also be required to research or revise security-related policies, procedures or standards and apply structured improvement methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with three years of progressively responsible security experience or
- Associates degree with five years of progressively responsible security experience or
- HS/GED with seven years of progressively responsible security experience.
Additional Experience and/or Qualifications: (Has Achieved Competency in the Following Areas, Job Knowledge and Additional Considerations): Security Specialists must demonstrate strong ability in leadership, personal interaction, time management, assessments, analysis, ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and project administration, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Licensure/Certification Required: Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation, or equivalent, required within two years of date of employment.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Mayo Clinic Policy
Pay
$80,184.00 - $112,257.60/year
Schedule
Full Time
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Additional flexibility is required to support 24/7/365 hospital operations and business continuity activities as needed.
Weekend Schedule As needed
