About the role
GovCIO’s Corporate Security team is seeking a Security Specialist III to strengthen day-to-day program security operations across Public Trust processing, collateral access support, NATO renewals/debriefs, foreign travel reporting, badging, onboarding/offboarding records, and customer-specific workflows. The role ensures compliance with GovCIO’s Security Standard Practices and Procedures (SPP) and customer contract requirements, while improving throughput and reducing cycle times across high-volume programs.
Responsibilities
- Manage Public Trust determinations, including prescreen reviews and coordination of required investigations.
- Oversee CJR/CIR processing, ensuring timely and accurate case handling.
- Provide collateral access support, validating eligibility and documenting access requirements.
- Maintain SIMS new-hire records, terminations, and debrief updates to ensure lifecycle accuracy.
- Execute DISS updates, including visit requests, status changes, and incident documentation.
- Coordinate badging operations and monitor queue activity for timely processing.
- Intake and track foreign travel and foreign contacts, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
- Manage NATO access renewals and conduct associated debriefs.
- Support ACCS coordination, facilitating system registration, access, and record maintenance.
- Maintain SharePoint/document hygiene, ensuring version control, organization, and access compliance.
- Document and track CSCS/DD254 compliance notes, ensuring contract security requirements are recorded and up to date.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5–8 years of personnel/industrial security experience supporting cleared and Public Trust populations or equivalent case management experience.
- Working knowledge of SIMS (or comparable security record systems) and familiarity with DISS updates and clearance verification workflows.
- Hands-on experience with prescreen processing, foreign travel/NATO cycles, and badging operations in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Excel) and meticulous record-keeping; strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to interpret and apply corporate security policies (SPP) and follow customer instructions/requirements as communicated by Contracts/Programs.
Pay
USD $85,000.00 – USD $110,000.00 per year.
