SECURITY SPECIALIST

About the role

Ensures adequate protection for patrons, employees, and company assets through security measures in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Deter and prevent illegal or terroristic activities, hazards, and company/regulatory violations.
• Ensure proper security during money transfers within the casino and hotel complex.
• Enforce and comply with company and department policies, regulatory rules, and criminal laws.
• Assist injured/ill persons and employees as well as other persons in need.
• Prepare detailed incident reports, take statements, and conduct interviews.
• Collect evidence and property, and preserve incident and crime scenes.
• Sign criminal charges for on-site crimes and misdemeanors.
• Make court and civil disposition appearances as required or ordered.
• Operate Security Casino Podium Post, answer radio & telephone calls, dispatch personnel, monitor alarms, issue non-restricted keys and emergency temporary credentials, complete reports and logs.
• Operate Security Command Center Post, monitor fire, CCTV, elevator, and Mutualink systems.
• Perform specialized functions such as Lost & Found, Card, Dice, Tile details, special event/entertainment posts, and other assignments as required or ordered.
• Trained in CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid, and Defensive Tactics.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities of a Security Officer.
• Aid management and supervision in training Security Officers.
• Promote positive public relations and excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one (1) year of appropriate experience in a high-volume casino environment preferred.
• Professional in appearance.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong grammatical skills.
• Computer proficiency and ability to perform basic math functions.

Qualifications

• Trained in CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid, and Defensive Tactics.
• Ability to perform all the duties and responsibilities of a Security Officer.
• Ability to wear a radio with earpiece or microphone without any medical limitations.
• Ability to assist Management & Supervision in the training of Security Officers.
• Ability to promote positive public relations and excellent customer service.
