Security Specialist

About the role

The Security Specialist assists the Marine Corps Security Manager and Special Security Officer (SSO) with the command security program. Key responsibilities include managing personnel check-in and out processes, validating clearances, and ensuring the lifecycle management, security, and accountability of classified material.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel check-in and out processes
• Validate clearances
• Ensure lifecycle management, security, and accountability of classified material
• Support the Information, Personnel, and Physical Security programs (IPSP)
• Ensure strict compliance with DoD, DoN, and Marine Corps regulations
• Apply advanced advisory skills and technical expertise
• Develop innovative solutions to complex problems
• Work independently and function as a mentor/supervisor

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in security administration, personnel security, and classified material handling
• Knowledge of DISS and NBIS personnel security systems
• Knowledge of ICD 705, DoD Manual 5205.07, and NISPOM
• Experience with DoD directives, SECNAV instructions, and USMC orders
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain USMC Security Management Course and ODNI SSOC Certification within 180 days of hire date
• Ability to obtain CDSE STEPP trainings such as Derivative Classification, RMF, OPSEC Awareness, and Unauthorized Disclosure Certification within 90 days of hire date

Pay

$69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD)

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
